*For fire department units, this would refer to district area; police units reflect a beat or ward number. For example, a fire call to Engine 11-1-1 means that Oronogo Station 1 Engine 1 will respond. Chief 7-1 refers to the Duenweg fire chief. For a police dispatch, 211 refers to an Asbury unit. The Jasco Metro Police is a collection of small town police departments who are dispatched from the Jasper County 911 Center. Exceptions to these statements appear below. 1 Carl Junction has its own police frequency, and it can be scrambled. All 911 calls for CJ Police are routed to its office for dispatch. 2 Carthage dispatches its own police and fire/EMS calls. The 911 Center forwards emergency requests to Carthage if appropriate. 3 Duquesne has no fire department; Duenweg handles fire/first responder calls. Joplin METS provides ambulance service. 4 Webb City dispatches its own police after calls are forwarded from the 911 Center. Fire/EMS calls, however, originate from the 911 office.
